The British Insurance Brokers Association (BIBA) welcomes automation platform Unitary, experts in streamlining complex insurance workflows, as an associate member.

This strategic move strengthens Unitary’s commitment to the UK brokerage community, following strong momentum in the managed general agency (MGA) sector and the successful launch of its insurance virtual agency product.

As brokers increasingly seek to modernize their operations and scale efficiently in highly regulated environments, Unitary’s membership represents a natural progression in its efforts to reduce administrative burdens across the industry.

Through its partnership with MGA, Unitary is demonstrating how automation can take on complex operational workflows without the need for systems integration or disruptive IT projects, an approach that is increasingly relevant as brokers deal with legacy systems and growing client expectations.

In cooperation with US MGA and Attune, Unitary’s virtual agent helped cut costs by 50% and increase customer satisfaction by 19%, and more than 99% of BPO operations were automated in just five weeks.

Unitary is already working with brokers to automate client onboarding, policy management, QA and application ingestion.

By joining BIBA, Unitary is now committed to extending the availability of its technology to the wider broker community in the UK. This will be achieved through closer collaboration with brokers and BIBA’s 1,800 member firms to accelerate the adoption of practical and trustworthy automation across the market.

General insurance brokers contribute 1% of GDP to the UK economy, arrange 77% of all general insurance, generate £105.5 billion in premiums and account for 94% of all commercial insurance business.

Sasha Haco, Founder and CEO of Unitary, commented: “Brokers are at the heart of the UK insurance market, yet many are still hampered by manual processes and fragmented systems.

“Having seen the impact of automation on MGA, we are excited to work with BIBA and its members to help brokers adopt automation in areas such as client onboarding, application ingestion and operator reporting in a way that is practical, reliable and suitable for the regulatory environment. This will free up teams from repetitive work so they can focus on clients, advice and growth.”
