Insurance and risk management company Travelers Companies, Inc. and artificial intelligence research company Anthropic announced a collaboration to expand Travelers’ artificial intelligence engineering and analytics capabilities.
Approximately 10,000 Travelers engineers, data scientists, analysts and product owners will use Anthropic’s personalized AI assistant to support and accelerate the development of software, analytics and machine learning models.
Mojgan Lefebvre, executive vice president and chief technology and operations officer at Travelers, added: “Since we started rolling out the personalized Claude and Claude Code assistants, we have seen a significant increase in engineering excellence and productivity gains.”
“We are excited to create value by leveraging artificial intelligence to advance the company’s strategic innovation priorities of expanding our strength in risk expertise; delivering a great experience for our customers, distribution partners and employees; and optimizing our productivity and efficiency.”
AI assistants are customized to the employee’s specific role and the tools and systems they use. By leveraging company data and institutional knowledge in real time, they help employees generate insights faster, produce higher-quality work, and focus on strategic priorities.
“Most companies deploy artificial intelligence as a tool, but Travelers goes a step further and integrates Claude into relevant workflows,” commented Kate Jensen, Head of Americas at Anthropic. “Their approach is exactly where applied AI is headed: personalised, contextually aware and integrated with the systems people already use. Travelers are leading the way in defining effective enterprise AI.”
In addition, Travelers provides more than 30,000 employees with access to advanced artificial intelligence models through TravAI. TravAI is a secure, internal AI platform that integrates multiple generative AI tools with company systems to improve performance and productivity.
