Private managed general underwriter (MGU) Fidelis Partnership (TFP) has announced a number of senior promotions, including four new heads of specialist business.
The four new business leaders include Grahame Dawson, who has been promoted to head of D&F in London. He joined TFP in December 2022, most recently as senior property underwriter. Prior to that, he worked at WTW for 12 years as head of the U.S. Real Estate Fac.
Mel Puskar has been promoted to head of credit group. She has been with TFP for the past seven years, most recently as head of asset-backed financing and portfolio credit underwriting. Previously, she worked at Genworth Financial and HSBC Bank.
Oliver Searles has been appointed Head of Energy from September 2024 after working as an underwriter in the TFP Energy team. Prior to that, he served as assistant vice president of Marsh’s specialty energy and power business.
TFP has also promoted Jamie Graham to head of freight, after serving as ocean freight underwriter from February 2024. He previously worked as a broker at Amwins Global Risks.
Dawson, Puskar, Searles and Graham will lead their respective business categories, with TFP saying the promotions reflect the depth of talent across its underwriting platform.
The company also announced additional promotions to reflect the continued growth of its underwriting business, including Alex Burness as senior underwriter in the Property D&F team.
Alex Weiss Bueno has been named deputy head of asset-backed finance and portfolio credit.
TFP senior credit portfolio underwriter Bernard Straeter also serves as deputy active underwriter for Syndicate 2126.
Daniel Turner has been promoted to senior underwriter in the construction and renewables team.
Liva Petersone becomes senior underwriter in the Dublin office.
