Global reinsurer Swiss Re has announced the appointment of Tamas Bown as Head of Life & Health Reinsurance for Asia Pacific (excluding China), effective April 1, 2026.
Bown has been with Swiss Re for more than two decades, holding a number of senior leadership roles in the life and health divisions.
The appointment marks Bown’s return to the Asia Pacific region, having previously led Swiss Re’s L&H client markets in Japan and chaired the Asia L&H Origins Committee.
In 2023, he began leading Swiss Re’s UK and Ireland markets unit, a role that was expanded to include the Middle East and Africa in 2024.
