Swiss Re has appointed Henock Teklu as its new group chief transformation officer and group chief of staff.
Teklu joins the firm from BlackRock Investment Management in New York for more than eight years, most recently as a managing director.
In his new role, he will lead and oversee Swiss Re’s entire corporate transformation agenda.
Teklu brings extensive strategic expertise to Swiss Re with 20 years of leadership experience in investment banking, insurance and asset management.
“He will help guide our long-term agenda and drive progress across the group, driving our ‘Building Leading’ journey with discipline, transparency and operational rigor,” Swiss Re said.
In other Swiss Re news, the global reinsurer recently developed and launched an online claims submission portal for life insurance beneficiaries in partnership with Pan American Life Insurance Group (PALIG), a provider of life, accident and health insurance across the Americas.
Designed to expand digital access to the claims process, the new portal marks an important milestone in PALIG’s digital transformation strategy and reinforces its commitment to service excellence.
