Swiss Re, a global provider of reinsurance, insurance and risk solutions, has announced a series of leadership changes for its Life & Health (L&H) European business.
The announcement outlines new appointments and changing roles designed to enhance collaboration across regional centers, streamline operations and ensure customers and partners continue to receive timely and consistent support.
Effective January 1, 2026, Markus Unterkofler will lead the Munich center, covering Germany, Austria, Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and the Nordic region.
Unterkofler takes over the Austria, Central and Eastern Europe and Northern Europe region from Michael Haas, who will leave Swiss Re at the end of this year.
Marco Bozzolo has been appointed Head of Transaction Origination and Head of Italy, Turkey, Iberia, Greece, Malta and Cyprus. Bozzolo succeeds Daniela D’Andrea, who is pursuing new opportunities outside the company.
Christophe Heck will succeed Klemens Binswanger as head of France, Switzerland and the Benelux, who has been appointed head of underwriting and claims for the region.
Binswanger’s leadership in his previous role helped strengthen Swiss Re’s market presence and drive key initiatives.
Hillel Damelin will continue as head of Israel and continue to focus on the market.
