Tom Welling has responded to the furore he found himself at the centre of over the weekend, when he accidentally posted a naked picture of himself on Instagram.
And fortunately, it seems he has a sense of humour about the whole thing.
On Saturday morning, the former Smallville star shared his excitement at waking up in New York ahead of a Comic-Con panel in the city, posting a picture to his Instagram story of the view from his window.
Unfortunately, what he seemingly didn’t realise was that the reflection of his naked body was visible in the reflection – resulting in him pulling the picture down shortly afterwards.
Actor and influencer referenced the saga in an Instagram reel that same weekend, which was captioned: “POV you’re a tourist in NYC and see Tom Welling standing at his hotel window.”
Tom then popped up in the comments, joking that he “came for the sights”.
He also reshared a post by his Smallville co-star Michael Rosenbaum, showing the actor posing in his own window in a t-shirt and underwear, with the word “perverts” held over his crotch.
“Just looking after my boy, [Tom],” Michael added in the caption.
Tom played a young Clark Kent in all 10 seasons of the Superman prequel, which ran from 2001 to 2011, while Michael appeared as the villain Lex Luthor.
In recent years, the former co-stars and friends have come together to host the recap podcast Talkville, where they share insider information about making the superhero teen drama.

Since making his Smallville debut, Tom has gone on to appear in films like the family comedy Cheaper By The Dozen (and its sequel), as well as the fantasy TV dramas Lucifer and The Winchesters.
He also reprised the role of Clark Kent in a special episode of the DC Comics show Batwoman in 2019.
