Reinsurance brokerage and advisory firm Gallagher Re has appointed Scott Cobon as head of strategic solutions for Bermuda.
Cobon joins Artex from Gallagher, a specialist in alternative risk management, captive insurance and insurance-related securities, where he is renowned for his deep risk management expertise, complex structuring skills and extensive capital markets knowledge.
Gallagher highlighted that Cobon has held a number of senior positions and has a proven track record of client relationship management, strategic leadership and collaboration across geographies and departments.
In his new role, Cobon will focus on driving growth, expanding Gallagher Re’s Bermuda platform and enhancing its global offerings through capital structure and investor engagement.
Cobon will work closely with Gallagher Securities (capital advisory and ILS teams) and report to Bermuda head Ben Radford, who commented: “Scott has a wealth of experience and will be a real asset as we strengthen our capabilities in Bermuda.
“As well as facilitating interactions between Bermuda re/insurers, investors and other industry players, Scott’s background means we will be able to forge wider collaborations with the wider Gallagher global network, including Artex.
