Rosie O’Donnell’s second night of guest hosting Jimmy Kimmel’s late night show went much like the first. She never once mentioned Donald Trump by name – but she still managed to get some digs in.
“This has been kind of a strange experience for me because all of a sudden I’m re-famous,” she told viewers.
“I’m back in the spotlight, all thanks to President Oompa J. Loompa, who is watching us this evening from inside a catering cart.”
Trump has frequently attacked O’Donnell on social media, extending a feud between the two that goes back decades.
Earlier this month, for example, he posted an AI pic of himself as a “doctor” treating her for “Trump derangement syndrome.”

On Tuesday night, O’Donnell mockingly thanked Trump for the attention.
“You know, I couldn’t have done it without you, sweetie,” she quipped. “You brought me back ― just like you did with fascism and the measles.”
In addition to referring to Trump as “Velvito Corleone”, she trashed his Truth Social post that described the Strait of Hormuz as a “new U.S. territory”, stating that his claim “makes literally no sense”.
“I’ll put it this way: If the US is in charge of the strait, then I’m also straight,” she said. “And let’s face it, I’m not. The moron-a-thon continues.”

Rosie kicked off her first late night guest hosting stint on Monday, joking at the beginning of the show: “If you thought the president hated Jimmy Kimmel Live when it was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, buckle up, people. Buckle up!”
So far, her interviewees have included Ted Lasso actor Hannah Waddingham and Jean Smart, with whom she briefly shared the screen when she made a cameo in the Emmy-winning comedy Hacks last year.
