Global specialist broker Price Forbes continues to expand its newly formed treaty reinsurance team in Singapore with four senior appointments: Bruce Ford, Goh Thian Leong, Mark Foster and Florence Lam Puoy Yin.
These appointments follow the recent hiring of Dick Heath as Head of Reinsurance and Wholesale, Singapore, further strengthening the team as Price Forbes builds reinsurance and wholesale capabilities in the market.
Bruce Ford has been appointed chief commercial officer for the reinsurance and wholesale business units. In this role, he will report to Dick Heath.
Ford brings four decades of industry experience. Prior to joining Price Forbes, he served as Head of Treaty Reinsurance at Miller Insurance Singapore. Prior to that, he served as Head of Client Solutions for Lockton International APAC Reinsurance at Lockton Companies Singapore.
Previously, he held various senior management positions at Capital Insurance Group, Allied World Re, Chubb, Travelers, Munich Re, Aon and QBE.
Goh Thian Leong joins as Head of Professionals, reporting to Heath. He has fifty years of industry experience in brokerage and underwriting.
Most recently, he served as Director of Treaties at Arthur J. Gallagher, where he played a key role in establishing the Treaties division, enhancing systems and controls, and driving revenue growth from new product lines.
Mark Foster has been appointed as head of treaties and will also report to Heath. He has over 40 years of experience, including 20 years in Singapore. He held a number of senior brokerage positions helping Cooper Gay, Asia Reinsurance Brokers and Arthur J. Gallagher build treaty and contract platforms. Most recently, he served as Director of Reinsurance for Arthur J. Gallagher.
Florence Lam Puoy Yin joins the team as Professional Director, reporting to Goh Thian Leong. She has more than 45 years of industry experience, and prior to joining Arthur J. Gallagher, she served as Director of Treaty Brokerage and Placement. Previously, she worked at Asia Reinsurance Brokers, Jardine Thompson Graham, Cigna Reinsurance Co and Singapore Insurance Company.
