Experienced financial professional Prateek Maheshwari has joined Hannover Re India as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).
Maheshwari moves to India from Hannover Life Re Australia’s Sydney branch, where he most recently worked as a management accountant for nearly four years.
The appointment marks a homecoming of sorts for the executive, who is no stranger to the Indian re/insurance space. Prior to his time in Sydney, he was Finance Manager for Hannover Rusk SE India.
Prior to that, he served as finance manager at Munich Re India Services and as senior tax manager at Thinna & Contractor.
Maheshwari’s appointment is one of Hannover Re’s latest leadership updates. These include the recent appointment of Huang Kun as CEO of the company’s Shanghai branch.
