Global multi-line insurer Zurich Insurance has appointed Paolo Mantero as its new group head of reinsurance, where he will transition from his most recent role as chief strategy officer (CSO).
Mantello brings a wealth of strategic depth and financial acumen to the role, having held a number of leadership roles since joining Zurich, including global chief financial officer for Commercial Insurance and head of the Group CEO Office.
His internal trajectory reflects a deep understanding of the company’s global operations and financial structure.
Prior to joining Zurich, Mantero spent two years at global insurance company Assicurazioni Generali, where he served as Head of Strategic Project Direction and was subsequently appointed Strategy Assistant to the GCEO.
The executive’s extensive background also includes stints at HgCapital, Investitori Associati, Jupiter Finance and McKinsey.
