Novi Underwriters welcomes Jason Binette, James Cinque and Cody Ruggirello to lead its newly launched stewardship liability offering.
Novi Underwriters is a full-service managed general underwriter managed by Lockton Affinity, dedicated to turning complex challenges into competitive advantage for insurance agencies and carriers.
It has developed strong relationships with its carrier partners and offers specialized product lines that enable its agent partners to provide streamlined insurance solutions to their customers.
The new stewardship liability product addresses a variety of risks in a modern format and through rapid point-of-sale, benefiting car dealers, fintech companies, manufacturers, retailers, foundations, biotech, staffing, entertainment, restaurants, start-ups and more.
It includes built-in enhancements designed to support organizations from $0 to $1 billion in assets and from 0 to 5,000 employees.
Coverage will be supported by specialist re/insurer Vantage Risk and will include directors and officers liability, as well as options such as derivative demand investigations, crisis management, retained counsel, additional party liability limits and additional liability limits for defense costs.
It will also include employment practice responsibilities, as well as options such as the Immigration Reform and Control Act, workplace violence, social media, wages and hours (FLSA), and employee privacy enhancements.
Additionally, fiduciary responsibilities include HIPAA penalties, PPACA penalties, ERISA Section 502(c) penalties, IRC Section 4975(a) taxes, and voluntary compliance program cost options.

Binette brings more than 20 years of managed liability underwriting experience, combining technical precision with product innovation and deep broker relationships. Prior to joining Novi, he led AmTrust Financial’s employment practice liability department, managing underwriting of standalone and integrated EPLI products across commercial lines.
Cinque brings two decades of experience, blending rigorous analysis with strategic growth. He previously served as Assistant Vice President at ANV Global Services, where he managed a team with a diverse portfolio of non-profit, private and public companies.
Ruggirello has over 10 years of professional insurance underwriting experience. Prior to joining Novi, he served as an underwriting manager for ANV Global Services, where he enhanced profitability while supporting clients in the not-for-profit, private and public sectors.
