Insurance and reinsurance brokerage Aon has announced the appointment of Richard (Dickie) Norman as senior broker within its Reinsurance Solutions global ReSpecialty property team, effective January 1, 2026.
Global ReSpecialty is the specialist reinsurance and retrocession solutions arm of Aon, covering the Specialty Property, Marine Energy, Composites and Construction, Casualty, Aviation, Cyber, Credit, Contingency and Accident and Health business lines.
As a senior broker, Norman will be responsible for driving Aon Venture Capital’s capabilities to help clients gain expertise in commercial risk and reinsurance solutions and navigate volatility in the property and casualty reinsurance space.
The executive will report to Dustin Fabbian, senior broker and member of the real estate leadership team.
Commenting on his appointment, Norman said: “I am delighted to be joining this dynamic team where I can continue to serve clients as part of our venture capital strategy and work closely with the operators I have traded in the London, European and Bermuda markets over the years.”
Norman brings almost four decades of leadership expertise in the London and European property markets.
Previously, he served as global head of real estate brokerage at Aon Business Risk Solutions’ global brokerage center.
During his career he has led teams in Bermuda and London, developing deep and long-standing relationships with many of Aon’s largest insurance clients.
