Algorithmic Insurance Services, Inc. (trading as LIRG), a specialty re/insurance platform focused on building, incubating and scaling managed general underwriters (MGUs) and managing general agents (MGAs), has appointed Nick Lamparelli as its new chief program officer.
In this role, Lamparelli will lead the development and expansion of LIRG-sponsored and third-party programs. He will be responsible for the design, build and launch of the specialty underwriting platform across parametric and traditional risk categories, working closely with capital partners, distribution networks and global reinsurance relationships to deliver differentiated solutions.
Lamparelli is widely recognized in the re/insurance industry for his work in underwriting innovation, program strategy and alternative risk transfer.
During his career, he has held senior and advisory roles with organizations including AIR Worldwide, QBE, reThought Flood and Green Shield Risk Solutions. Most recently, he served as Managing Partner of Insurance Nerds, where he advised MGAs and other insurance companies on market entry, program formation and growth strategies.
In addition to his business activities, Lamparelli is co-founder and CEO of the Florida Insurance Advocacy Forum. He also serves on the board of directors of Stable Insurance Company.
At LIRG, Lamparelli is expected to focus on identifying promising underwriting concepts and accelerating their time-to-market by aligning technology infrastructure, underwriting capabilities and strategic oversight. A central goal is to reduce the traditional time and cost required to build a new underwriting platform while maintaining governance and execution standards.
