American Modern Insurance Group, Inc., a division of Munich Re, has partnered with Bridge Specialty Group to launch a farm and ranch insurance program.
The program is designed to provide independent agents with versatile insurance solutions that meet the specific needs of farm and ranch operators, from small hobby farms to commercial agricultural enterprises.
“Agents have been looking for a farm and ranch product that offers broad coverage and is easy to place,” commented Brad Fisher, vice president of professional accounts at American Modern. “We are pleased to partner with Bridge Specialty Group and their trusted brand to offer a program designed specifically for agents and backed by a carrier they can trust.”
Fisher continued, “American Modern’s new farm and ranch insurance plans are specifically designed to address the needs and challenges faced by farm and ranch operators. We understand the importance of protecting farms and personal assets from unforeseen events, and our plans provide the comprehensive coverage needed to help farmers gain peace of mind in an uncertain world.”
The program covers farm property including dwellings, outbuildings, equipment, livestock, harvested crops and farm income. It also includes liability protection for personal and farm-related incidents, vehicle coverage for personal and farm vehicles, and an umbrella policy for additional liability risks.
Scott Reinhardt, newly appointed head of Bridge Specialty Group’s farm and ranch operations, will oversee the program, which is currently operating in Arizona, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas and Wisconsin, with plans to expand to additional states by 2027. Agents have access to farm-focused underwriters, a dedicated claims team and a streamlined quote portal tailored to the program.
“Our competitive advantage lies in our experience and long-standing relationship with American Modern built on trust and mutual success,” Reinhart said. “Our team members have deep expertise in the farm and ranch market, and our ability to create unique products truly sets us apart.”
