Hamilton Insurance Group, Ltd., an international specialty insurance and reinsurance group, has announced the appointment of Michelle Li as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of its London-based underwriting platform, Hamilton Global Specialty.
In her new role, Lee will be based in London and work closely with Hamilton Global Specialty CEO Alex Baker. She will report to Brian Deegan, group chief accounting officer, and will serve as senior leader of Hamilton’s global finance function.

Her expertise will help us maintain strategic focus and momentum across our entire underwriting platform.”
Deegan added: “Michelle’s strong track record of financial leadership makes her an excellent addition to our global finance function. I look forward to working closely with her as she takes on this key leadership role within our global finance team.”
Li has more than 14 years of experience at RenaissanceRe and has held several senior financial leadership roles at the company. She was most recently Senior Vice President and Treasurer at Lloyd’s of Europe and Renaissance Reinsurance Company. Prior to joining RenaissanceRe, she spent over five years with PwC, working in Bermuda and Canada. Li holds the qualifications of Certified Public Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor.
