Global reinsurer PartnerRe has announced the appointment of Mark DiTaranto as its new global head of claims.
DiTaranto joins PartnerRe from AXA XL, where he spent nine years, most recently as global head of claims for reinsurance.
After 11 years with XL Catlin, he joins the company as Director of North American Reinsurance Claims.
Prior to that, he spent 14 years as a non-equity partner at Mendez & Mount LLP.
“With more than 20 years of experience in technical reinsurance claims in major markets around the world, Mark’s deep expertise and proven track record make him a perfect fit for this position,” commented Abina Kealy, Chief Financial Officer of PartnerRe.
