Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), a division of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, has appointed Edrick Tang as Asia Pacific (APAC) senior underwriter, effective immediately.
In this role, Tang will oversee the underwriting performance of the product line and lead the execution of the product’s growth strategy in Asia.
The appointment aligns with Liberty’s strategic focus to capitalize on regional growth opportunities while meeting growing client demand for specialist coverage.
Based in Singapore, Tang reports to Dipam Pandit, Head of Asia Brokerage Distribution and Head of War and Terrorism in Asia Pacific.
Tang has 15 years of industry experience with major insurance companies, most recently as an underwriting manager.
According to the insurer, fine art and coins are a key growth area, particularly in the fast-growing Asian market. Driven by growing demand from brokers and insureds, Liberty is establishing a footprint in the region.
The appointments bring the total number of dedicated art and coin underwriters to nearly 40, with nine art and coin offices around the world.
