International insurer and reinsurer QBE has announced two leadership appointments for its Singapore maritime business.
Kelly Lim has been appointed Country Head Cargo and TOL, while Alex Lim has been appointed Country Head Hull and Liability for QBE’s maritime business in Singapore.
Both Kelly and Alex will report to Head of Maritime Asia, ensuring alignment with the company’s regional strategy and strengthening its ability to deliver high-quality risk solutions to customers and partners.
Kelly has more than two decades of marine insurance experience, with expertise spanning underwriting, portfolio management and building strong partnerships in the region.
Previously, she served as underwriter for Canopius and QBE Marine and Energy Syndicate 1036.
Alex has been with QBE for 13 years, building strong relationships across Asia and providing underwriting solutions for a variety of marine products. Most recently, he served as senior underwriter at Marine Hull and Liability, serving as lead underwriter for clients in Asia and the Middle East.
Prior to joining QBE, Alex served as Team Manager for Aon’s Marine Specialty Brokers team and as an Insurance Broker for Nacora International Insurance Brokers.
This announcement follows the recent appointment of Sebastian Tjornelund as Head of Marine Underwriting Asia, effective December 1, 2025.
