Duck Creek Technologies, a provider of property and casualty (P&C) and general insurance software solutions, announced the appointment of Jose Lazares as chief product officer (CPO).
Lazares brings more than two decades of experience building, scaling and delivering cloud-based software platforms across SaaS, PaaS and enterprise environments to his new role.
In his new role, he will be responsible for leading Duck Creek’s global product organization and play a central role in setting the product and platform vision, driving the advancement of artificial intelligence innovation, and transforming strategic priorities into customer-centric roadmaps across cloud platforms.
The executive is highly regarded for his leadership in implementing applied artificial intelligence initiatives that facilitate intelligent decision-making, automate processes and drive enterprise-wide adoption, all of which contribute to continued revenue growth.

Lazares joins Duck Creek from Beyond Limits, where he served as chief product officer, where he led the company’s global product strategy and development across engineering, product management, user experience and customer operations.
At Beyond Limits, he launched a low-code hybrid Agentic AI platform that combines generative and symbolic AI to enable intelligent decision-making and process automation while overseeing global teams.
He also drives enterprise adoption of AI through strategic AI partnerships with global energy providers. Prior to joining Beyond Limits, he served as chief product officer at Onna and held senior leadership roles at Intapp, Cisco, Oracle and PeopleSoft.
