HW International BV, a privately held specialist insurance brokerage group headquartered in the Netherlands, plans to adopt Dubois as its new trading name, effective in early 2026.
HW International BV supports clients worldwide, providing specialist insurance advice and customized risk solutions specific to their businesses and risks. Its expertise spans fine art and collectibles, film and entertainment, property and liability, financial services, maritime, real estate, international projects, employee benefits and suretyship.
The rebrand follows the company’s new ownership and will unite the group’s offices in Australia and Europe under a unified identity, reflecting its focus on complex risks, boutique care and global reach.
It also supports the group’s next phase of growth, including hiring specialist talent and exploring opportunities in South and Central America.
From early 2026, the group plans to trade under the Dubois name in its offices, communications and online channels. Clients will retain the same policies, coverage and day-to-day contacts they rely on today, while the new name reinforces the group’s position as a unified team serving international clients and partner brokers. The launch of the Dubois brand will be supported by a refreshed visual identity and an updated website, adapting the way the group is presented in all markets.
The name Dubois, which translates to “wood” in French, is a tribute to the group’s founder, Hugh Wood, and signals its intention to continue the tradition under new ownership.
Dubois will be joined by Lignorum Consulting SL (ligno-consult.com) and AMID Firmen-Versicherungsmakler GmbH in Hamm, Germany, as part of the rebranding, which is scheduled to take place in summer 2026.
“This next step in our journey is built on the values that have guided us from the beginning,” said Dubois owner Maurits Kleingeld. “Hugh Wood built this business on a foundation of trust and expertise, and that trust exists in our employees and their relationships with clients and brokers. Dubois carries that legacy forward with the people our clients know, the service they expect, and a unified name across all our offices.”
“Service is at the heart of what we do,” added Juan Alberto Garcia, Dubois Global CEO. “Clients and partner brokers should recognize Dubois wherever they see us. They will continue to work closely with someone who understands their business, receive clear advice and benefit from our global broker network of more than 90 partner brokers around the world.”
