HIVE collaborates with Dragonfly to enhance aviation security risk management

HIVE Underwriters, an independent specialist managing general agent (MGA), has expanded its network of intelligence partners to enhance aviation safety risk management with the addition of global intelligence and safety risk consultancy Dragonfly Intelligence.

Dragonfly Intelligence, part of Dow Jones Global Risk Insights, provides crisis management, security and risk professionals with geopolitical and security intelligence that helps decision-makers at multinational companies and airlines address complex business and operational challenges.

Dragonfly is also a well-known provider of geopolitical and security intelligence to the aviation sector, with clients including many of the world’s largest airlines.

By combining HIVE’s deep industry underwriting expertise with Dragonfly’s intelligence-led monitoring and assessment capabilities, the partnership aims to create a stronger framework for aviation safety risk management.

As part of the partnership, accounts that subscribe to Dragonfly’s security intelligence and analytics services to better manage security risks will receive premium discounts, with HIVE taking the lead underwriting position.

For airlines without dedicated safety risk monitoring capabilities, HIVE’s partnership with Dragonfly provides a practical solution to enhance oversight and support a smarter, more proactive risk management framework.

David Langran, Group Underwriter at HIVE Underwriters, said: “At HIVE, we are constantly looking for new ways to improve the value we deliver to our clients and broker partners. With Dragonfly The team’s expertise and technology, added to our ecosystem of intelligence partners, enable us to provide advanced proactive security risk mitigation support to our risk-leading customers. This collaboration supports airlines, particularly those without in-house security analytics, to build stronger, data-led risk management programs. This is another way we are helping our customers operate more confidently in an increasingly complex world.”

The aviation industry faces an increasingly complex threat environment, and by working with the Hive team, we are helping customers stay ahead of emerging risks.”
