Delta Goodrem has been forced to pull out of this weekend’s Strictly Come Dancing show due to a rib injury.
Last week, Delta and her dance partner Kai Widdrington were at the top of the leaderboard following their performances but Delta was in “absolute agony” throughout the show and was rushed to hospital on Sunday,
Appearing on podcast Strictly: It Takes Two, host Emma Willis confessed to that it became obvious that something was awry with Delta after Saturday’s show. She said: “It’s such a shame. I think it became quite apparent after the show that last week that something wasn’t right.”
This week for Delta is a “bye week”, which is a free pass to the next round of the competition while she rests and recuperates with a view to coming back next week.
Emma added: “We’re just hoping that because she has this bye week, by the week after, she’ll be good to get back. Fingers crossed!”
Delta also took to social media
