CRC Group, an independent wholesale specialty insurance distributor, has announced enhancements to its exclusive Insurisk platform, designed to meet the growing insurance needs of the global data center industry.
The company said the platform’s underwriting capabilities have been enhanced in response to growing investment, larger developments and increasing operational complexity across the industry.
As demand for hyperscale, colocation and enterprise data center projects continues to grow, Insurrisk has expanded its specialized capabilities and underwriting expertise. These enhancements are designed to support owners, operators and developers throughout the project lifecycle, from initial construction to ongoing operations.
Through the updated Insurrisk data center product, CRC Specialty brokers now have access to up to $500 million in total property insurance capacity, including builder’s risk and casualty coverage. The company said this capability is supported by a diverse capital base that includes traditional insurance companies, multinational reinsurance partners and alternative capital sources such as insurance-related securities.
The expanded capacity is designed to complement existing insurance plans established by retail customers, offering higher limits and more tailored coverage to enhance overall program resiliency.
CRC Group notes that these increased restrictions are intended to support large-scale, capital-intensive data center projects, including new developments, facility expansions and operational sites. The enhanced platform also addresses changing risk considerations such as higher power density, advanced cooling systems, business disruption risks and construction-related challenges.
