Conduit Holdings, the ultimate parent company of Bermuda-based multi-line reinsurer Conduit Re, has announced the appointment of Nicholas Shot as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
Shot, who will join the Conduit Holdings board of directors in November 2025, will also succeed Ken Randall as chairman of the Nominating Committee. Prior to this appointment, he served on the Nominating Committee and the Compensation Committee.
Under the changes, Rebecca Shelley will continue as senior independent director and succeeds Ken Randall in that role. She will continue to serve as chair of the Compensation Committee.
Commenting on the appointment, CEO Neil Eckert said: “On behalf of the Board, I would like to congratulate Nicholas on his appointment as Chairman. I look forward to working with him as Conduit enters its next phase of growth. I would also like to express my sincere gratitude to Rebecca for serving as interim Chairman during our search process.”
“Her leadership has ensured stability and continuity at a critical time for the business. The Board is equally grateful to Ken Randall for his significant contributions as Chairman of the Nominating Committee since Conduit’s 2020 IPO and as Senior Independent Director while Rebecca assumes interim responsibilities.”
Shot added: “I am pleased to be appointed Chairman of the Board. I intend to relentlessly support the executive team in maximizing value for Conduit shareholders.”
Conduit Holdings also announced that Elizabeth Murphy will retire from the board ahead of the 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) in May.
The retirement is part of standard board succession planning as she completes her sixth year of service, according to the announcement. The search for her successor is ongoing and expected to conclude soon.
