Commerzbank has appointed Dan Broome to lead the UK insurance and asset management business within the non-bank financial institutions team in London.
In his new role, Bloom will focus on strengthening relationships within the industry and developing franchises, delivering financing and capital solutions through the bank’s international platform in global insurance and reinsurance markets, including London, Frankfurt, Zurich, New York and Bermuda.
He has over a decade of experience in the insurance industry with Lloyds Bank, Barclays and Ernst & Young in London and New York.
Bloom served as a director at Barclays before joining Commerzbank.
Prior to that, he led EY Insurance’s Debt & Capital Advisory group, which focused on providing financing advice and support to insurance underwriters, brokers and service companies to support their ambitions for growth, refinancing or M&A.
“After a strong chapter at Barclays, I’m very much looking forward to reconnecting with friends and colleagues in the markets over the coming weeks,” Bloom said in a recent LinkedIn post.
