Chubb makes changes to North America Field Operations leadership team

Chubb announced a series of North American field operations leadership changes, including the appointment of Chad Yarlagadda as regional executive for the Midwest region; Ben Mortimer as regional executive for the Southeast region; and the retirement of Kelly Kinsella.

Yarlagadda, who currently serves as regional executive for the South East region, will succeed Kinsella, who is retiring in April after four decades of service to Chubb.

He joined Chubb in 2004 and has held various positions in underwriting, marketing, branch and distribution management.

Mortimer serves as senior vice president and head of key accounts for the region and will succeed Yarlagadda in his current role.

The executive has more than a decade of experience at Chubb across accident and health, business development and key account distribution, including previous experience as a broker in the South East.

In addition, Kevin Kraselsky, senior vice president and Atlanta branch manager, will assume greater responsibility and provide increased oversight of the Birmingham branch region.

This expanded role means Kraselski will be responsible for managing distribution and production in a three-state region: Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi. He will report directly to Mortimer.

With more than 25 years of experience in the Southeast, Kraselsky brings a wealth of knowledge and strong relationships to the position.

The new positions, effective April 1, will put Yarragarda and Mortimer in charge of 14 states in the Midwest and seven states in the Southeast, respectively.

The two executives will be responsible for managing production, profit and loss, and distribution. Their responsibilities include executing Chubb’s underwriting and sales strategies in their respective regions.

They will report to Chris Maleno, Chubb’s senior vice president, vice chairman of North America Insurance and president of North America Field Operations.

“Chad’s more than 20 years in the industry, extensive experience and proven track record across key customer segments and product groups prepare him to take on this new leadership role,” Maleno said.

He continued, “Ben’s leadership and deep understanding of the Southeast market will also be invaluable as we continue to grow our business in the region. Chubb is known for his deep leadership, and Chad, Ben and Kevin’s new roles are a testament to that strength.”

Mareno added, “Kelly has been an outstanding colleague and impactful leader throughout her career at Chubb. She has played many key roles, including developing the Western region as a real estate underwriting manager, building the Midwest region into what it is today, and shaping our overall field structure and culture. We thank Kelly for her many contributions and wish her well in her retirement.”
