Chubb, a major US insurance company, has announced the appointment of José Ramón Morales as Regional Executive Officer for the Southern Region (Spain, Portugal, Italy) and Head of Underwriting Center for Continental Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, effective April 1, 2026.
Morales joins Chubb with 25 years of insurance experience and will be responsible for leading all operations in the southern region and overseeing the continued development of the Madrid underwriting center.
His background includes tenure at Everest from 2022, initially as head of Spain and later as head of Southern Europe.
Prior to this, he held national leadership roles at XL Catlin and AXA XL, in addition to various roles at Gen Re, QBE and Aon.
“José Ramón’s experience, background and leadership style position him well to lead the Southern region, deliver the business plan and contribute more broadly to the growth and success of the EMEA business,” said Peter Kelaher, President, Continental Europe, Middle East and North Africa.
