Private insurance broker Lockton has announced the appointment of Brett Gillmon as head of U.S. property practice, based in Atlanta.
Gilmon will leverage his three decades of industry experience to oversee the strategic direction and continued growth of Lockton’s real estate offerings across the United States
He will report to Devin Beresheim, Lockton’s head of U.S. risk solutions, who commented: “Brett is a perfect fit for this role. He is a well-respected leader in the real estate market and a highly regarded technology and strategic partner to our employees and clients. I know he will do a great job helping shape the next iteration of Lockton’s U.S. real estate business.”
Gillmon joined Lockton in 2017 as Southeast regional real estate practice leader, supporting offices in Atlanta, Birmingham, Charlotte, Miami, Pembroke Pines and Tampa.
In this role, he oversees Lockton’s strategic placement and servicing of real estate and construction risks for some of Lockton’s most complex real estate accounts nationwide.
Prior to joining Lockton, the executive spent 20 years at Marsh, most recently as managing director of its U.S. real estate business.
Throughout his career, he has focused primarily on global real estate and builder risks, supporting major US clients and holding roles in Dubai, London, New York and Atlanta.
