Aspen’s Justin Camara joins CFC to lead US growth strategy

Specialty insurer CFC has appointed Justin Camara, formerly of Aspen Insurance Holdings, as CFC USA chief executive officer (CEO) to lead the airline’s growth strategy in the country.

Kamara, who is expected to begin his new role in the first quarter of 2026, will bring nearly three decades of industry experience to the insurance company.

Most recently, he served as executive vice president of finance and professional liability and portfolio director for Aspen Insurance Group. In this role, Kamala oversees a broad portfolio of specialty insurance businesses in the U.S. and international markets.

The company explained that Aspen has been a long-term supporter of CFC, having worked on its MGA portfolio since 2014 and currently supporting 17 business lines.

Kamara has held senior underwriting leadership roles throughout his career and helped build Great American’s professional liability division in California and led Liberty Mutual’s professional expansion on the West Coast, where he began his insurance career at AIG in New York.

Louise O’Shea, CEO of CFC Group, said: “I am delighted to welcome Justin to CFC. He brings a wealth of professional experience and a strong record of building businesses, making him a natural fit for CFC’s entrepreneurial culture. His appointment reflects our commitment to expanding our presence in the United States and under his leadership, we are confident that CFC USA will continue to provide outstanding service and expertise to our customers and partners. Justin understands our vision and ambition and I know he will be a great addition to CFC Driving force in global markets.”
