Reinsurance broker and risk advisory firm Guy Carpenter, part of Marsh McLennan, has appointed Angelo De Benedetto as chief commercial officer for its Italian operations.
In his new role, DeBenedetto will oversee and coordinate the company’s commercial strategy in the country. His responsibilities include increasing executive-level engagement with key partners and supporting clients as they navigate increasingly complex risk challenges. This position is key to strengthening Guy Carpenter’s role as a strategic advisor in the reinsurance market.
De Benedetto has over 18 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry. Since joining Guy Carpenter in 2023, he has held senior leadership roles, including Strategic Growth Leader for Italy and Senior Vice President – Head of Interim Reinsurance for the Greater Milan region.
Prior to his role at Guy Carpenter, De Benedetto worked for more than seven years at Cicor Internacional CorredurÃa de Seguros y Reaseguros, SL, where he served as Group CEO and General Manager. He also serves as CEO of Cicor Global Marine, where he oversees insurance and reinsurance brokerage activities across Spain.
