AmTrust International names Tony Scott as Head of Claims for AmTrust Specialty

AmTrust International, a specialty insurance company and a subsidiary of AmTrust Financial Services, Inc., has appointed Tony Scott as Head of Claims for AmTrust Specialty Limited (subject to regulatory approval) and concurrently as Head of Claims for the Specialty Business Unit.

Scott began his career at HSBC, where he held a variety of roles over more than 25 years, including Head of Claims.

He later joined Canopius Group as Claims Operations Manager and Head of Retail and Commissioning, before spending seven years as Head of Claims at Geo Underwriting, an MGA providing specialist insurance solutions across the personal, business and professional sectors in the UK and international markets.

Based in London, Scott will report to the Chief Executive Officer of AmTrust Specialty Limited and functionally to the Executive Vice President and Global Chief Operating Officer.

He will be responsible for developing and implementing AmTrust’s claims business strategy and overseeing overall claims results for the specialty business.

In this dual role, he will lead claims management and resolution, drive process improvements, promote innovation and ensure compliance with AmTrust’s claims management principles and minimum standards.
