WTW Enterprises Willis has appointed Michelle Ng as head of risk and analytics for the Pacific region, succeeding Matt Frost, who has retired from the company.
In her new role, Ng will lead the Pacific Risk & Analytics (R&A) team, delivering data-driven insights, actuarial expertise and advanced risk modeling capabilities to clients in Australia, New Zealand and the wider Pacific region.
She has a strong technical background in risk analysis and actuarial consulting and a proven track record of working closely with C-suite, Board of Directors and senior management.
Most recently, Ng served as head of analytics and senior vice president, Pacific, at international brokerage Marsh, where she previously served as head of analytics.
Prior to this, she worked at Suncorp Group as a Portfolio Data Analytics Specialist and Senior Actuarial Analyst, providing insurance and banking solutions to Australia and New Zealand.
At the company, Wu specializes in commercial portfolio data analysis and commercial and personal line pricing. She began her career as an actuarial analyst at Calliden Insurance.
James Baum, head of Willis’ Pacific operations, commented on the appointment: “We are delighted to welcome Michelle to the firm. She is a qualified actuary with deep technical skills and commercial thinking, a combination that will bring significant value to our clients and business.
“Her expertise in actuarial science, analytics and consulting, coupled with her strong industry leadership, will play a key role as we continue to strengthen professional capabilities across the Pacific region.”
Charles Barder, head of international risk and analytics at Willis, added: “Michelle’s appointment demonstrates our commitment to expanding our global R&A capabilities through exceptional talent. Her experience will help enhance our advisory services, deepen our analytical rigor and enhance the way we support clients in making more informed, data-driven decisions.”
