Global reinsurance brokerage Gallagher Re has announced the appointment of Gianluca Panzanaro as Executive Director of its Italian operations, where he will play a key role in developing new relationships to strengthen the Italian team.
In his new role, Panzanaro will focus on delivering tailor-made solutions as an exceptional service to the company’s existing Italian customers.
Panzanaro, a re/insurance professional with over 10 years of experience in the industry, joins Gallagher Re Italy after nearly eight years with Generali, most recently as Senior Property & Casualty Treaty Reinsurance Manager (Property, Parametric, Agriculture).
The executive has held roles at a number of international companies during his career, including as a broker, underwriter, product developer and reinsurance manager.
During his tenure at Allianz, Panzanaro served as International Underwriter – Product Developer (Mobile, Travel & Assistance and Health).
Prior to that, he worked at AIG as a commercial real estate underwriting global talent professional associate and was subsequently named commercial real estate underwriter.
