Specialist insurer Beazley has announced the appointment of Nat Cross to the newly created role of Head of Digital Tracking Underwriting, effective 1 February 2026.
Beazley has successfully developed its focus underwriting capabilities since the launch of dedicated focus syndicate Smart Tracker 5623 in 2018.
In his new role, Cross will oversee all algorithmic and digital distribution channels with a focus on new broker digital trading strategies and intermediary exchange opportunities as insurance companies adapt their strategies as the environment rapidly embraces digitalization.
Prior to his new appointment, Cross served as global head of Beazley Healthcare, where he oversaw the launch and operations of the Beazley Ki digital services partnership.
Cross will report to head of portfolio underwriting Will Roscoe, who said: “This is a natural next step in our evolution. Leading the market with Smart Tracker, we will continue to invest in our capabilities to become the preeminent follow-on underwriter in the market. Nat’s appointment reflects this commitment and the strength of our people and expertise at Beazley.”
