Bermuda-based global insurance and reinsurance company Fidelis Insurance Group has announced the appointment of Nicole Kapu-Leyland as group general counsel.
In her new role, Kapu-Leyland will report directly to Fidelis Insurance Group CEO Dan Burrows.
She joined the company in September 2023 as senior legal counsel and has since held a number of key positions, including deputy general counsel and most recently interim group legal director.
Prior to joining Fidelis Insurance Group, Kapu-Leyland was an associate in the Corporate and Financial Services team at Willkie Farr & Gallagher (UK) LLP. Prior to this, she worked as an associate in Clifford Chance’s Financial Institutions Department and completed client secondments with Standard Chartered Bank and Citibank.
