Specialty insurer and reinsurer AXIS Capital has announced the appointment of Anita Mirzaian as head of US media underwriting and products.
In this role, Mirzaian will be responsible for accelerating the expansion of the company’s media portfolio in the United States.
She will work closely with Joe Wornham, global head of media products, to execute the strategic direction of the US media portfolio and oversee program performance.
Mirzaian will also support day-to-day underwriting decisions, strengthen broker relationships, and develop and coach the matrixed underwriting team.

Mirzaian joins Axis from CNA Insurance for nearly four years, most recently as Director of E&O Underwriting Consulting for Film & Entertainment Media.
She joined the company in 2023 as a Film & Entertainment E&O|Network & Technology Underwriting Counsel.
During her career, she also held positions at Lockton, The Hartford, Hiscox USA, Fireman’s Fund and Crusader Insurance Company.
