Yaatra is a new augmented reality (AR) game launched in India by Krikey and Jio. The game can be played in the Krikey app, which is available for free on the App Store and Google Play. Yaatra uses the phone’s camera to provide AR-based action-adventure games involving combat and puzzle solving. Jio led the game’s Series A financing, bringing the total amount to 22 million US dollars (about 162 crore rupees). Yaatra also brings proprietary features to Jio users.
Krikey is an AR mobile game development company that has released Yaatra. It can be played in the Krikey app, and you can download the app for free on the App Store and Google Play. According to the developer, “Players can enter Yaatra’s action-adventure story and join the task of defeating the monster army. Using weapons such as bows, chakras, lightning, and fire hydrants, players can pass different levels of combat and puzzle games Fight.”
There are some in-game collectibles that can be used to improve your skills. The game was built using Google Maps, and Jio helped raise funds. The developer also stated that Yaatra will be available to Jio Phone users soon.
Players can also share personalized videos with friends. There is a digital training field, and video feeds and game videos are posted by other users. Here, players can also hone their bow and arrow skills.
The developer stated that Jio users will get exclusive access to the 3D Avatar feature, free game tokens, which will help unlock other weapons and abilities and more game levels.
