WTW introduces Radar Fusion to modernise commercial underwriting

WTW, an advisory, brokerage and solutions firm, has launched Radar Fusion, a cloud-based platform developed by WTW to make commercial underwriting faster, more data-driven and strategically aligned.

The solution provides analytics, real-time insights and data integration to support underwriters’ expertise rather than replace it. WTW is initially launching Radar Fusion in the United States, with plans to expand to other regions soon.

WTW notes that today’s commercial underwriters face increasing complexity, higher customer expectations and a wealth of available data. Traditional manual processes and static decision-making models are struggling to keep up.

Radar Fusion is part of WTW’s wider Radar suite, designed by WTW to improve efficiency, accuracy and profitability across the entire underwriting lifecycle, supporting sustainable growth for insurers. According to WTW, the platform automates routine tasks while using classification, routing and prioritization algorithms to allow underwriters to focus on complex risks. Simple risks are handled automatically, reducing effort and costs, while more complex scenarios are flagged for review, supported by internal and external data.

“Today’s brokers expect significantly faster response times. The most effective way to help underwriters deliver timely decisions and pricing to brokers is to consolidate all relevant information, maximize data automation and streamline overall workflows,” said Farah Ismail, WTW North America commercial line insurance consulting and technology director. “Radar Fusion is purpose-built for this purpose and is essentially a one-stop shop for underwriters, allowing them to do what they do best in a smarter, faster and more strategic way.”

WTW emphasizes that Radar Fusion can assess emerging risks and market trends in real time, helping underwriters make faster and more informed decisions. WTW’s platform consolidates vast amounts of data into actionable insights, connects workflows, and automates manual processes to speed up quoting and reduce operational friction.

WTW designed Radar Fusion with flexibility in mind so that business teams can update models and workflows independently, allowing the solution to adapt as underwriting needs change.
