Willis and Synthetik extend political violence and terrorism risk insights partnership

Willis and Synthetik have extended their long-term partnership, giving WTW operations access to Synthetik’s full suite of political violence and terrorism (PVT) software modeling tools.

By integrating Synthetik’s personal risk models, including AnyBuildingRisk, Cityscape and SRCC Quantum, and its related data products into Willis’ existing enterprise-wide risk management platform, Willis and its clients will gain deep insights into civil unrest situations.

Brian Watson, CEO of Synthetik, commented: “We live in an increasingly volatile risk environment, with PVT threats constantly changing, so brokers need to be confident in the information they have and the analysis they base their recommendations on.

“We are pleased to develop a relationship with a global leader like Willis, whose continued trust in our systems demonstrates their commitment to providing the best possible service to their customers, as well as the market’s growing understanding of the value of Synthetik’s products.”

Synthetik’s comprehensive toolkit combines dynamic PVT tools to provide a unique perspective on hazard modeling and intelligence, with a focus on behavior-driven analysis.

It provides Willis with the means to thoroughly assess the insurance impact of terrorism, political violence, strikes, riots and civil unrest.

Fergus Critchley, global head of terrorism and political violence at Willis, said: “We are delighted to expand our partnership with Synthetik as we continue to enhance the quality and breadth of risk and analysis tools we can now offer clients.

“In an increasingly complex risk environment, their advanced modeling capabilities play a critical role in helping us predict emerging risks and provide informed, actionable quantification. Our continued investment in Synthetik’s technology reflects our commitment to providing clients with the most powerful, forward-looking risk and analytics capabilities in the market.”
