MS&AD Insurance Group, a large Japanese non-life insurance group with extensive international reach, has appointed Vishal Desai to a senior global role as International Chief Risk Officer.
MS&AD Insurance Group’s international operations account for more than $20 billion of total non-life insurance premiums written outside Japan and remain an important part of the group’s broader business.
In this capacity, Desai will join MS&AD Insurance Group’s International Executive Committee, working alongside experienced colleagues from across the organization’s global network.
He will work with the entity leadership team to support the continued development of MS&AD Insurance Group as an international insurance and financial services group, with a focus on strengthening risk oversight, compliance and legal governance across the international portfolio.
His responsibilities will cover MS&AD Insurance Group’s international operations, covering more than 20 entities in 48 countries outside Japan, including MS Amlin, supporting consistent standards and creating long-term value for customers, shareholders, employees and communities.
