Vi (formerly known as Vodafone Idea) announced that its customers can now book COVID-19 vaccine slots through its app. Vi said this has become possible by integrating the CoWIN application with its platform. Vi users will be able to search for available vaccine slots and can also set reminders when they can be used on the Vi application. Users who wish to reserve vaccine seats will be able to filter searches by age group, vaccine name, etc.
Vi has announced that only its prepaid and postpaid customers can use the Vi app for Android and iOS smartphone users to book vaccine seats. Integrating the CoWIN app with its platform, Vi customers can use filters to search for available slots, such as age group, dosage, free/paid, and vaccine name (Covishield, Covaxin or Sputnik V), and can also book slots from the app.
How to book a vaccine slot on the Vi app
This network provider makes it easier for its customers to book vaccination spots to help them prevent COVID-19. Below are the steps required to book a vaccination spot from the Vi app on your smartphone.
Open the Vi app on your phone
Click on Get vaccinated immediately Options that appear at the bottom of the screen
Then, users can search for slots near them by typing Area -State and region-or enter their PIN code
Users can use filters, such as- 18-44 years old/over 45 years old, first dose/second dose, Covishield/ Covaxin/ Sputnik V, paid/free
After selecting the desired filter, the user can browse the dates to find the available time for COVID-19 vaccination and select one.
Vi App will then be redirected to the CoWIN portal for final confirmation
