Insurance technology provider Vertafore has introduced new artificial intelligence capabilities in Surefyre, allowing program administrators to automatically convert PDF submission forms into web applications.

Surefyre, acquired by Vertafore in 2024, is a low-code agent portal and underwriting workbench platform designed to empower managing general agents (MGAs) and wholesalers.

Vertafore’s latest AI-powered features are designed to streamline the time-consuming steps in new program setup, transforming manual processes with the click of a button.

Surefyre uses AI to convert PDF submission fields into digital forms in minutes. This feature significantly reduces the time administrators previously spent manually building Web applications for new programs (up to four hours).

As a result, MGAs and wholesalers are able to get to market faster, launch new programs, reduce manual data entry errors, and enable teams to devote more time to higher-value work.

Emily McGinn, General Manager MGA and Wholesale at Vertafore, commented: “We are innovating AI in Surefyre with a clear purpose: to remove friction from the day-to-day work of MGAs.

“By using artificial intelligence to automate one of the most manual steps in program setup, Surefyre helps MGA move faster, create a great experience for its agency partners, and focus on growth activities that truly accelerate their business.”

This latest innovation reflects Vertafore’s approach to practical AI, embedding automation directly into real workflows to eliminate low-value manual work and streamline complex processes.

Later this year, Vertafore plans to launch natural language summaries on Surefyre to highlight changes to application changes during renewal or endorsement, as well as AI-driven ingestion of unstructured submission data.
