U.S. Congressman Barrymore announced his recent purchase of cryptocurrency. He bought Dogecoin, Cardano and Ether.
Barrymore, the US representative from Alabama, filed a Periodic Transaction Report (PTR) last week, announcing that he had recently purchased cryptocurrency.
According to the documents, members of Congress purchased the cryptocurrencies Cardano (ADA), Dogecoin (DOGE) and Ethereum (ETH) during May and June. The value of each purchase is between US$1,001 and US$15,000.
Since his purchase, the value of his crypto investment has declined. He bought Cardano on May 10, May 11, and May 13, and the price of ADA was US$1.7652 and US$1.5559, respectively. According to data from Bitcoin.com Markets, those days were 2.009 US dollars and 2.009 US dollars. At the time of writing, the price of the cryptocurrency is $1.4229.
The congressman also announced that he purchased Dogecoin on June 13th at a price of approximately $0.3275. At the time of writing, the price of DOGE is $0.2317.
He also bought ether on May 5. The price on the day was US$4,081. At the time of writing, the price of ETH has fallen to $2,370.
