Swiss stock exchange cryptocurrency trading volume hits record high
The Sixth Swiss Exchange, the main Swiss stock exchange, announced on Wednesday that its cryptocurrency trading volume reached a record high last year. Announcement details:
The Swiss Stock Exchange is the world’s leading market for regulated crypto products. Its crypto product trading turnover has exceeded the $1 billion mark for the first time, reaching 1.1 billion Swiss francs in 2020.
It added that this amount was “112% higher than the 2017 record of 525 million Swiss francs.” In addition, “the number of transactions set a new record of 48,024.”
New encrypted ETP list
At the same time, the Zurich-based stock exchange also welcomes ETC Group as its new cryptocurrency exchange-traded product (ETP) issuer. The exchange confirmed: “ETC Group has listed a Bitcoin ETP, increasing the number of ETP providers to 6, and increasing the number of ETPs to 34.”
