Grayscale Investments, the world’s largest cryptocurrency asset management company, announced the establishment of the first partnership with the National Football League (NFL) team. Grayscale will become the official digital currency asset management partner of the New York Giants and will sponsor many events.
After many NBA teams accepted the acceptance of crypto assets and cooperated with crypto companies, Grayscale Investments revealed a partnership with the NFL team, the New York Giants.
Grayscale, a crypto asset management company with more than $46 billion in assets under management (AUM), will join the giant’s list of corporate sponsors. In addition, Grayscale will become the team’s official digital currency asset management partner to provide a service for the Giants.
Gray’s CEO Michael Sonnenshein explained in the announcement that the origin of the company is closely related to New York. “Our partnership with the giant is significant because our roots are in New York,” Sonnenshein said.
Sonnenshein added: “We are delighted to be working with this forward-looking franchise to work together on charity and continue to support the New York Metropolitan community.”
The partnership between Grayscale and the NFL team came after the recent deal concluded by FTX Exchange at the end of March. FTX won the right to rename the NBA Miami Heat Arena to “FTX Arena”. According to reports, FTX’s transaction to rename the Miami Arena cost approximately $135 million.
The Grayscale transaction details that the crypto asset manager will work with the Giants Foundation, which provides financial assistance to organizations in the tri-state region. The grayscale plan will be displayed in the upcoming Giant Foundation golf outing.
The announcement stated: “Grayscale will also become a sponsor of Presents Home Game, a sponsor of Giants Training Camp, and will organize voluntary educational seminars on cryptocurrency for Giants personnel every year.”
Pete Guelli, chief commercial officer of the New York Giants, said that the team looks forward to establishing a partnership with crypto asset managers. In addition, Guelli said, the company is aligned with the Giants brand.
“In conducting an extensive assessment of the space, we not only hope to find a partner who understands the value of keeping with the Giants brand, but also guide us in navigating the cryptocurrency ecosystem,” Guelli said.
