Talanx extends CEO’s contract until June 2030

The Supervisory Board of Talanx AG has decided to re-appoint Torsten Leue as Chairman of the Management Board and extend his contract in advance until June 2030.

Talanx said the early extension recognizes the strong performance of the executive board team under Leue’s leadership and is designed to support the group’s continued successful development.

Leue said: “I sincerely thank everyone for their trust in me and look forward to the upcoming tasks.

“I am delighted to continue working with my colleagues on the Management Board and all employees across the Group, with great dedication and a shared commitment to Talanx’s success.”

Leue began his career at Allianz after completing a banking apprenticeship and a degree in business administration and worked for the insurance company for 17 years in various roles in Germany and abroad.

Until 2003, he served as Regional Manager for Central and Eastern Europe. He later became CEO of Allianz’s Slovak subsidiary, a position he held until 2010; before joining Talanx, he also served as Chairman of the Slovak Insurance Association.

From 2010 to 2018, he was responsible for Talanx’s international retail and corporate client operations and served as Director of Labor Relations from 2017 to 2022.

Herbert K. Haas, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Talanx, said: “As CEO since May 2018, Mr. Leue has continuously and extremely successfully developed the Group.

“This applies to the Group’s business performance and cultural change. The Supervisory Board thanks Mr. Leue for his excellent work and is confident that he and his team will continue on this path in the coming years to the benefit of all stakeholders.”
