Switzerland-based reinsurer Echo Reinsurance Limited (Echo Re) has announced the appointment of Tal Winkler as senior treaty underwriter for Echo Re and DEVK Re.
Echo Re and DEVK Re are both wholly owned subsidiaries of DEVK Sach- und HUK-Versicherungsverein aG
Winkler is an experienced reinsurance engineering underwriter with a background in civil engineering and analytics. He specializes in treaty underwriting work in the European, Israeli, UK and London markets.
Prior to joining the company, he spent four years at AXA XL, most recently in the treaty and ad hoc reinsurance underwriting engineering department.
Prior to this, Winkler worked in Swiss Re’s Property and Specialty Underwriting Risk Engineering Services division, where he conducted risk assessments to mitigate risks and provided guidance and tools to support underwriters.
Echo Re said in a recent LinkedIn post: “Tal brings valuable expertise to our team with his strong engineering and reinsurance background. We wish him a great start and great success in his new role!”
