Spotify users can now customize playlist covers on the mobile app; they may soon receive the “silence” feature of podcast

Now, Spotify users will be able to add custom cover images and descriptions to their playlists from their Android and iOS devices. So far, this feature is limited to desktop applications. This feature has begun to roll out and is available to Spotify free and advanced users. Spotify also plans to use the “fine-tuned mute” feature, which will allow users to skip pauses in podcasts, although it is not clear whether the feature will work for everyone.

Users will be able to select an image from their photos and set it as the cover of a custom playlist. Spotify announced in a blog post to promote this feature to Android and iOS devices, Spotify said this is a “highly demanded feature.”

To customize the cover image and description of a Spotify playlist from the mobile app, open the playlist you created, click the three dots to open its menu, and then click Edit playlist. Now, click the default album art picture (usually a collage of the album art of the first four songs in the playlist) or click Change the image. You can choose to click on the photo and use it as the cover image, or select a photo from the gallery.Click on Use photos When you are ready and write a description for the playlist in the player Add description The box below the photo.Click on save Stop here.

Jane Manchun Wong, a reverse engineering expert shared Screenshots of new features that Spotify may come with. According to the screenshot, switching under Spotify settings will provide users with the option to turn on the “Trim Mute” option. This will skip the pause in the podcast, which may attract more users to use Spotify to stream podcasts. Although, some other podcast applications also provide similar features.

Wong also said earlier this week that Spotify is working to increase support for local music playback on Android. Users will soon get the option to turn on the new “Show Device Files” option on the app, which will display all saved audio files.
